Frequently Asked Questions

Does Chakra-puncture hurt?

In Chakra-puncture the needles that penetrate the skin are very fine and are only inserted to a depth of 0.2 to 0.3mm. Only a gentle tap is required to insert the needle and unlike Acupuncture, the needle is not manipulated in any way.

Is it safe?

Yes, Chakra-puncture is taught and practiced in accordance to all federal and state laws, regulations and codes of practice relevant to safety and hygiene.

Each needle is opened from a sterile package shortly before use to ensure hygiene and safety is maintained. The needle is delivered into the skin via a plastic tube and it does not come in contact with the Practitioners fingers at any stage. Each needle is only used once – there is no reusing or recycling of needles whatsoever.

Once a needle is removed from the body it is immediately discarded into a sharps container. If a needle falls on the floor or out of the client it is never reinserted.

What should I wear to a Chakra-puncture Session?

It is advisable to wear loose fitting pants that can be rolled up or skirts/shorts to allow greater access to the body as some configurations require needles to be inserted into the lower or upper legs.

Women should wear a singlet or camisole which they can leave on during a Chakra-puncture treatment allowing greater access to the upper body.

What is the difference between  a Nadi and a Chakra?

Nadis are energetic cells in the body. There are 45, 000 Nadis within the human body and in the epicentre of each Nadi is the fiery spark or the inner essence, which is always there and never goes out.

A harmonious energetic cell is one that is emanating from its fiery spark or essence unimpeded. When the fiery spark of the energetic cell is not fully emanating and is blocked or capped, it is known as a Chakra.

So how do energetic cells become blocked or capped?

When we experience situations in life that we react to emotionally, we energetically absorb that situation. In other words, we take in a negative energy from outside of ourselves. This imposing negative energy prevents the essence or fiery spark within our energetic cells (Nadis) from fully emanating.

For example, when somebody hurts us in some way, we might react by getting sad or angry. If this situation is not resolved or healed, the energy of sadness or anger is held or stored in the body blocking the fiery emanation or harmonious flow of our Nadis. Long term this can lead to illness or disease in the body.
